Our butterfly adventure culminates with the tagging of 1,000 Monarch butterflies for release at Flutter Fest on Sept. 23 brought to you in partnership with Louisville’s Idlewild Butterfly Farm. This release coincides with the annual migration of monarch butterflies. The rain date for this event is Sunday, September 24. Check our website for most up-to-date information. Kentucky Railway Museum hosts Peanuts™ Great Pumpkin Patch Express Event

IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH EXPRESS

Passengers will meet Charlie Brown and Snoopy upon their arrival. In addition to a 45 minute train excursion the many activities will include a coloring area, mini train rides, temporary tattoos, bounce house, games and much more! Each child may select the perfect pumpkin to take home. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Trains depart New Haven @ 11.00 am, 2:00 pm on Saturday and 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $21.00 each for ages 2 & up. Under the age of 2 is free. Enjoy your Zoo magically transformed into a living storybook with costumed characters and trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo for kids 11 and under. Santa Express:

During the Santa Express, you will enjoy an approximate 1.5 hour train excursion. Santa walks through the train and visits with the children. Don't forget your camera! We will serve cookies and hot chocolate. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas.

This event will take place December 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17 and 21,22

Cost is $25.00 for Adults and $20.00 for children ages 2-12 under the age of 2 is free.
Departure times are 3:00 pm for all dates.

Seats are assigned for this event. In order to be seated all together, tickets must be purchased together.

Want a special experience, rent your own private car! Car will hold up to 19 people, just choose private car when ordering your tickets.


Christmas Trains

North Pole Express:

On our journey to the North Pole you will enjoy an approximate 1.5 hour train excursion while listening to the sounds of the season. Upon arriving at the North Pole we will pick up Santa; Santa will then board the train and travel with us on our way back to New Haven. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas. Make sure and bring your camera. Upon arriving back at the station you will have the opportunity to come in to the depot and take your child's photo with Santa. Don't forget your camera!


This event will take place December 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17, 21 and 22.

Cost is $25.00 for Adults and $20.00 for children ages 2-12 under the age of 2 is free.
Departure times are 7:00 P.M. for December December 1, 8, 15, 22
Departure times are 6:00 P.M. for December 2,3,9,10,16, 17 and 21
