LFPL's Polar Express Pajama Party moves to the Southwest Regional Library

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (November 19, 2017) – Experience some holiday magic as the Polar Express pulls in to the station at the Southwest Regional Library on Friday, December 7. At this special holiday party, co-sponsored by Carmichael's Kids, come dressed in your pajamas and enjoy free games, crafts, and activities for the whole family. There will be a reading of The Polar Express, followed by a screening of the movie. Children can also write letters to Santa with the help of elves and library staff, get their picture taken with Mrs. Claus, and enjoy free hot chocolate from Heine Brothers' Coffee and snowballs from SnoWhat (while supplies last).

As part of this FREE event, the Library will be collecting donations of new or gently used items for Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Winter coats are in particular need at this time, but items such as books, school supplies, or other winter wear (scarves, hats, mittens, etc.) will be accepted.

The after-hours Polar Express Pajama Party is Friday, December 7, 6–8:30 p.m. at the Southwest Regional Library (9725 Dixie Highway). This after-hours event is free for children and families. RSVP at the Library's Facebook event page.
